AppMetrics ("we", "us") operates the Fotopia mobile application (the "App"). Fotopia turns your photos into cinematic AI art. This page explains what data the App collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and honest.
1. Information we collect
- Account info — if you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and basic profile. You can also use the App as a guest, which creates an anonymous account with no email or name.
- Photos you upload — the selfies or photos you choose for a generation or enhancement. Used only to create your image.
- Generated images — the AI images Fotopia creates for you. You save them to your own device's photo gallery; we do not keep a copy on our servers after the result is delivered.
- Purchase records — which credit pack you bought. No card numbers — payment is handled by Google Play.
- Device identifier — a device ID used only to fairly grant free starter credits and prevent abuse.
- Advertising data — the App shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google collects your device's advertising ID (AD_ID), coarse device and app information, and ad-interaction data (such as impressions and clicks). This is collected and processed by Google under its own policies.
- Diagnostic data — anonymized crash logs and feature-usage events via Firebase Analytics + Crashlytics. No personal content is sent.
2. How we use it
- Provide the core App functionality (sign-in, upload, generate, enhance, save to your gallery, credits)
- Process purchases and grant the credits you buy
- Show ads to support the free version of the App, and let you earn free credits by watching optional rewarded ads
- Prevent repeated claiming of free starter credits
- Diagnose crashes and improve reliability
- Comply with tax / accounting requirements for in-app purchases
We do not sell your data and we do not profile you ourselves. We do show third-party ads via Google AdMob; the ad network collects the advertising data described above to serve and measure those ads (see Section 5 for your controls).
3. Who we share it with
We use a small set of trusted service providers to run the App:
- Supabase — secure storage of your account (United States). https://supabase.com/privacy
- kie.ai — AI image generation; your uploaded photo is sent here to render your result (United States).
- Google Firebase — anonymized analytics and crash reporting (United States). https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google AdMob — serving and measuring the ads shown in the App (United States). https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543 · How Google uses data from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- RevenueCat & Google Play — processing in-app purchases (United States). https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
4. Data retention
- Active accounts — kept as long as you use the App.
- Deleted accounts — your account data and any uploaded photos are removed immediately when you delete your account in-app. See the [Delete account page](/delete-account).
- Generated images — saved to your own device only; you control them like any other photo on your phone.
- Anonymized analytics — retained up to 14 months (Firebase default).
- Advertising data — retained by Google per its own retention policies.
- Purchase receipts — held by Google as required by law.
5. Advertising and your choices
- Consent (EU/UK/EEA) — where required, we show a Google-certified consent prompt (UMP) on first launch so you can choose whether ads are personalized. You can change this later in the App.
- Personalized vs non-personalized ads — if you don't consent to personalized ads (or where they aren't permitted), AdMob serves non-personalized ads instead.
- Reset or delete your advertising ID — on Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalization (or delete the advertising ID entirely).
- Fewer ads for buyers — if you purchase a credit pack, the App suppresses app-open, interstitial, banner, and native ads; only the optional "watch to earn a credit" rewarded ad remains, and only if you choose to use it.
6. Your rights and choices
- Delete everything, anytime — in-app: My Profile → Delete account. See [Delete account](/delete-account).
- Access or export your data — email support@appmetrics.studio and we'll help.
- Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your data. We honor these requests.
7. Children
Fotopia is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, and ads are not personalized for users identified as under 13. If you believe a child has used the App, contact us and we will delete the data.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be reflected in the App.
