This policy explains what IPTV Smart Player ("the app", "we") collects and how it is used. IPTV Smart Player is published by Codestack.
The short version
IPTV Smart Player has no account and no login. You bring your own IPTV/M3U playlists, and they stay on your device. We do not run a server, and we do not collect, store, or sell your personal information. The app is free and supported by ads, which collect a device advertising identifier, and it uses Google Firebase to measure usage and report crashes, as described below.
What the app accesses
- Your playlists and channels. The M3U/M3U8 links, uploaded files, Xtream Codes credentials, and single-stream URLs you add are stored locally on your device (in the app's private storage). They are never sent to us. When you open a channel, your device streams it directly from the source you provided (your IPTV/Xtream provider) — not through us.
- Internet & network state. Used only to download your playlist and play your streams.
Analytics and crash reports
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes. These services may collect:
- App usage events (for example app opens, screens viewed, and session length)
- Crash reports and diagnostics (stack traces, device model, OS version, app version)
- A Firebase installation ID / app instance ID and the device advertising ID
This data is pseudonymous: it is not linked to your name, email, or playlists, and it never includes your playlist links, Xtream Codes credentials, or the channels you watch. It is processed by Google on our behalf and kept for a limited retention period. Google's handling is described at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Advertising
The app shows ads through Google AdMob (and its mediation partners). To do this, AdMob may collect and process:
- Your device's advertising ID (AAID) and general device information
- Approximate, coarse signals used to serve and measure ads
Before ads load, the app shows a consent request (Google UMP) where required (for example in the EEA, UK and other applicable regions), so you can control personalized advertising. You can reset or limit your advertising ID at any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543.
What we do NOT do
- We do not require or create an account.
- We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, precise location, or payment information.
- We do not send your playlists, stream links, or Xtream Codes credentials to us or to analytics.
- We do not host, provide, or proxy any TV channels or media content.
- We do not sell your personal data.
Data retention & deletion
Because your playlists live only on your device, uninstalling the app deletes all of them. You can also delete any individual playlist inside the app at any time. See the [data deletion page](../data-deletion) for details. The advertising ID is controlled by you through your device settings, not by us.
Children
IPTV Smart Player is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
We do not hold an account or any directly identifying personal data, so there is no account data for us to access, export, or erase. Analytics and crash data is pseudonymous and expires automatically under Google's retention settings; to ask about it, contact us below. You control the advertising identifier through your device, and your playlists through the app. For ad-related data held by Google, see Google's privacy tools linked above. For any question, contact us below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
